Important Regulations In Maine Campgrounds

By Amy Ellis

Camping is one chance to be away from the noisy environment. There are other people who come to the same site. They are all looking for a way to make their vacation interesting. You must behave so that other campers in Maine Campgrounds have a good time. There are rules to be followed by people in these areas.

You should make your site clean. The next campers should meet the place in order. Leaving trash is an offence. The campgrounds in the city of Old Orchard Beach ME will charge individuals who leave garbage behind. The rule here is that you carry all that you brought with you. Remember to put out your fire. Fires can endanger lives of individuals who are around you. Ensure that there is no fire when you go to sleep. Ensure that ashes and coals are cold.

Make sure that you have cleaned up after having time with your pet. This must be done whether you had a walk, hike or actually spent time with them in the grounds. These animals are not supposed to intrude bathrooms of the next team. You will be shown the areas to wash your dishes. No one expects congestion in the bathrooms. This activity consumes a lot of space. People are in need of that space.

You should stick to the area that is assigned to you. It is not good to intrude the comfort areas of other individuals. Do not pass through their set areas if you are not familiar to them. Remember that people pay to have spaces. This particular area will remain theirs as they stay here. The management has already created specific paths to the bathroom and washroom. It is quite offensive for one to intrude other campsites.

Respect the set quiet hours. Most of these sites happen to have set their quiet hours. This is mostly between 2200hrs and 0600hrs. They are the times when most of the people go to sleep. The young ones are supposed to be sleeping at these times. You should avoid making loud noises. If you are awake, remain silent and respect this rule. Avoid having activities early in the morning because they are quite disturbing.

Make use lowlights. When driving or unloading the cars in darkness make use of the low lights. Turn off the headlights. Bright lights are quite disturbing. They can disrupt sleep. While in the grounds, use flashlights and lanterns. Remember to also control your pets. There are individuals who have animal allergies. They do not want any pets around their site.

Leave the extra wood. This is if you do not need it in your homes. Since you have other things to pack, you may benefit from this rule. Those who come after you will also use the woods. As you leave, make sure that you have returned everything to where it was. Ensure you have left the picnic table and other items in the right place. Fill the holes and trenches that you created. They are dangerous to the new campers.

Some of these rules are standard in most of the campgrounds. Others come from the experience. Make sure that you have followed every written rule. There are other unwritten rules. If not keen you may be fined for making mistakes. The aim of having rules is to make sure that the future campers will enjoy their stay.
