Making Some Money On The Internet Using A Blog

By Roman Deluna

There are many opportunities for making money online full or part time but one of the easiest to get started is blogging. Having your own blog is very rewarding and you have a lot of flexibility in monetizing it. Four of the commonly used methods are to promote affiliate offers, to sell advertising space to businesses on a pay-per-click basis, or provide ad a space for companies on a cost-per- action basis, and of the methods available probably the one that makes the most sense is using your blog to promote your own products especially when you get started.

You will certainly want to give affiliate marketing a shot if you want a quick, simple, and inexpensive place to start. Affiliate marketing is where you sell someone else's product or service for a share of the sale in the form of a commission. The commission amount or percentage is determined by the merchant. The process is simple all you do is promote affiliate links on your site or within your blog post and when you make a sale you get paid. There are volumes out there regarding affiliate marketing and if you plan on using this as a strategy I suggest you get well versed to improve your odds of success.

The key to affiliate marketing is finding a product you want to promote and getting an affiliate link to promote it. You may use this link in any of your promotions so they can track where the traffic came from and pay you the appropriate commission. Often the company will make various resources available such as such as banners, classified ad posts, or email swipes you can use to help you promote their product. All you need to do is brand them with your affiliate code and add them to you blog or website.

Advertising is another option that can be a big source of income. There are many different varieties of advertising. The most common is probably pay-per-click (PPC) ads. The premise behind this form of advertising is that you will get paid a certain amount of money every time someone clicks on an ad on your site. Google AdSense is a good example of pay per click advertising. This is a bit more involved as you have to find business that are interested in advertising on your site. It is not something I would consider if this is a new blog and you are not well established.

In most cases it involves the visitor completing a simple form to ask for further information or request some form of contact. In both of these cases the companies will provide you some form of code to add to your website and they take care of tracking the clicks and paying you. Keep in mind what I said at the beginning if you are not experienced and you are just starting your blog this will not be a viable option for you. Reason being these companies are looking for established sites with significant consistent traffic to get exposure to their ads.

The downside of this is that you will need to approach these companies and solicit their business. This is not something you take on if you have a new site that is not yet established. They prefer seasoned sites that are popular and have a significant amount of visitors on a daily basis. Most will not select this option as it could involve a lot of effort in finding companies to advertise with you and most do not handle rejection well.

The last option which is the one I currently use is to promote your own opportunity or products if you have some. This is without a doubt the most straightforward approach for a beginner as all it requires is blogging in whatever your niche happens to be. There are some tailor made opportunities out there for just this type of option. You can get a blog set up for you with all the monetization already in place which makes this a very practical approach.

No matter what option you choose, there is a potential to make a good income through your blog. It will be a lot of work, and remember that the wealth wouldn't come over night. However, once you start seeing success you will find that it'll continue to grow at a rapid rate. Start you own blog and start working on your dreams to make it a reality today.
