The second one is doing interviews of the defendant. Victims will be asked for the formal statement on this crime and the problem against them. This results to the formation of the possible motive why the suspect did that. Its importance lies in understanding the whole crime.

Third is crime scene inspection. They will visit the scene of the crime in order to analyze the occurrence at that time. They also will look for fingerprints, tools used, and object left behind by the suspect. Fourth is doing background investigations. They will search for past criminal records if any. They also will talk to the people who are close to their suspect and who interact with him on the daily basis to ask for his character and behavior.

Fifthly, they are to interview the witness. They will search and then talk to their witness as to their memory of this crime that day. They then document this so they have witness statements on file. Sixthly, they do reports on the investigation and testifying. They will make a case report on their analysis, conclusion, and findings about this. They will them submit the file to the defense lawyers, court, and police chief.
