Long Beach CA Boat Detailing

By Michelle Johnson

Detailing your own boat is not a very big deal and you do not have to do it all at one time; you can do a little every day and save a lot of money and have a better job than if a detailer did the job. The only tool that may help with Long Beach CA boat detailing is a buffer but you can always apply the products by hand.

Elements such as very high temperature, heavy rainfall, too much sunlight and the spray of salt from the sea will always take their toll on the vessel sooner than later if it is left neglected and exposed. General deterioration of various aspects of the vessel such as the paintjob, the metal coating, leather seats and others not only interferes with the aesthetic appeal of the boat but also makes the resale value to greatly depreciate.

Take the cushions out and put them in a clean dry spot hose them down and put the soft scrub bleach on them and scrub with a brush and let dry for about a half an hour and hose off and if it does not get all the dirt off the first time you can repeat the process.

One must realize however that buying extra high pressure hose can get expensive, and it's not always possible to park near the dock and run the hoses out. Thus it makes more sense to have a pressure washer on wheels and use the hoses on the dock. Remember you need to be tidy, so having lots of tubes might hurt your business, due to lost customers, more than it helps you in the long-run.

Another issue is that you have to keep replacing those tanks, and the rental fees are not cheap, meanwhile depending on how hard the local water is, may have to replace them more often than expected.

Make sure we wipe the vessel until there is no areas lift unpolished and we have a show room looking vessel. Last we need to do the deck of the vessel, if it is carpet give it a good going over with a vacuum and if it is fiberglass scrub it and hose it off making sure you do not get water on all the work we have just done. Now that our vessel looks like new park it so everyone can see it and ask who detailed your vessel. Remember after you use your vessel do not put it away dirty.

There are different ways to go about completing the boat wax process in regards to doing it section by section or all on all off at one time. Three things usually help determine this. Level of oxidation, direct sun and temperature. I generally like to apply at least an entire area before even considering switching to taking off.

There are many things you can do such as help a maritime museum refurbish an old vessel or host a fundraiser for the Sea Cadets. Many Boy Scout Groups have the Sea Explorers sub-group and hosting a vessel wash fundraiser for a day means you will get your name out to the parents of all these kids who probably also own their own vessels and have friends who also own vessels. Sometime public relations can get your business name in places you never thought possible. Consider all this.
