Reasons Of Current Events Jerks Bosses Politics

By Edward Olson

From pharmaceutical representatives to insults of world leaders and others, childish and boorish behaviors have become more prevalent in society over the last decade. In fact, it often feels as if the world is full of jerks in the business and political sector which are behaving badly more than ever before in history. In an effort to explain why, Bob Stafford of Stanford University has taken on these and other issues related to Current Events Jerks Bosses Politics in a recently released Forbes magazine article and interview.

Sutton is a Stanford Business School Professor whom has created somewhat of a cottage industry by becoming an expert on these actions and issues. Bob's first book The No Asshole rule became a bestseller rather quickly, now with a sequel, The Asshole Survival Guide, the author and professor hopes to see another on a long list of accomplishments.

Bob, as part of a marketing ploy provided New York Magazine's Jessica Pressler an in-depth interview related to current events and the inappropriate nastiness of government officials and others. One of the most useful sections of this new release according to Sutton, is in answering the question as to why these events are occurring in the present moment. According to the author, the answer involves a rather lengthy explanatory process.

The first aspect of the answer relates to President Trump and all aspects of politics in America. While diplomatic in tone, Sutton notes that there appears to be an epidemic of nastiness in the White House. Whereas, the author goes on to define the term asshole as being anyone who would leave others feeling demeaned, de-energized and disrespected while admittedly suggesting that a number of U. S. Citizens believe the president fits into this category, self included.

As an aside, Sutton also suggest that politics is for the most part, everybody calling everybody else assholes. Whereas, that nasty behaviors often breeds and spreads much more quickly than nicer behaviors. In other words, the current president's onslaught insult-laden rallies and tweets are doing absolutely nothing to improve America or the national conversation.

Sutton also sees inequality in all areas as being somewhat responsible for the current climate of the country. For, the massively wide economic gap among U. S. Citizens has become close to that which existed during the Great Depression. As such, there are now issues occurring between the haves and have nots like never before in history. For, it has now been proven that 1% of the country holds much of the wealth while 99% reside in the middle class or below.

When it comes to technology, like with all aspects of life, there are pros and cons. For, the anonymity of online interaction has the power to turn people, even those whom have been friends for years into vicious trolls. Whereas, research has also shown that new advances in technology has increased the asshole problem. In large part, due to the fact that people are more likely to mean when having no eye contact.

Ultimately, the nicer people can be with one another, the better relationships will be. Whether those relationships be focused on politics, work, live or love. For, remember what Sutton said, it is much easier for bad behavior to spread than good behavior. As such, all people have the ability to be a part of the solution, simply by behaving the best we can in any given situation.
